Waiting for certainty is often a sophisticated form of avoidance. Direction becomes visible after committed action.
A dramatic calling is appealing because it appears to remove risk. If the correct path is revealed with enough force, you never have to wonder whether you chose badly. Real life rarely offers that bargain.
Purpose tends to grow around commitments that combine responsibility, skill, contribution, and chosen sacrifice. You begin before you are certain. You watch where effort creates useful energy. You correct the course without treating every doubt as a command to quit.
Choose one problem, person, community, or craft you would respect yourself for serving. Give it a visible weekly output for ninety days. At the end of each week, record what felt useful, difficult, and alive. The evidence will teach you more than another month of waiting.
